Press Release

Paris – Montreal: 30th November 2011

ICADE, through iPORTA, "real estate IT solutions", has acquired JMap-FM, an innovative software solution in property and asset management. As a software editor of iPorta suite, a tertiary real estate information systems tailored to each real estate profession: Asset, Property and Facility Management, this new acquisition extends the functionality of its IT solutions at the heart of real estate performance. JMap-FM is an extension of JMap, a map-oriented integration platform, created by K2 Geospatial, which facilitates the collaboration and exchange of information. The acquisition of JMap-FM will allow iPorta software suite to integrate the geographic function, which is fully compatible with the plans and drawing programs already operated by its users.

The demand for information systems in commercial real estate increases rapidly; needs are numerous and vary according to the areas of expertise: Asset, Property and Facilities Management. As a result, ICADE
iPORTA built a modular, open and scalable portal solution designed to address those respective needs. The integration of JMap-FM within the iPorta software suite enhances its modularity while preserving its scalability, to guarantee continuing adaptation to the development needs of the real estate reference, its interoperability with trade tools already in place, and the flexibility to meet the characteristics of each profession and the specificities of each project.

Gerald Horlande, Managing Director of iPorta said: “
In the real estate sector the implementation of structuring and efficient information systems has become a strategic necessity: For investors: due to the decision cycles of the real estate markets; for users to better control real estate resources; but also due to the complexity of domains dealt with, the interactivity between the domains involved and the quantity of information distributed among the various holders and data bases. Thus, the iPorta software suite with its new module JMap-FM, a true control and optimization tool, is part of this real estate performance and tertiary company growth perspective".

The solution
JMap-FM brings a global vision in managing real estate assets. For instance, it has the ability to centrally store all system information such as; the occupation and maintenance of buildings database and to make it readily accessible to all users with no major changes to exiting applications. This allows to view and access data from any desktop such as; a plan with the ability to overlay layers of information and, to add, retrieve, share and transform data in a multidisciplinary approach as well as edit maps and plans.

Mr. Jacques Charron, President of K2Geospatial, said: "Icade is a well-respected organization in the real estate market
whose activities cover the entire value chain. The strategic alliance with Icade has enormous potential because it combines our expertise to meet the challenges of growing organizations and to access, without conversion, heterogeneous information sources. This solution, a map-oriented integration platform, enables managers to maintain their existing real estate IT systems while having an overall operational view of reality in real time and managing projects with a sustainable and societal approach."

JMap-FM
is a true tool adapted to each real estate profession to successfully enhance, map and easily update asset, property and facility management.

<![CDATA[The City of Terrebonne integrates G.O. LOC, open geospatial services provided by the Ministry of Public Security, with J]]>1272010-03-31T01:02:00-04:00(K2 Press) Centre911-Terrebonne.JPGFollowing a series of tests carried out by the Ministry and several 911 call centers and partners of the Ministry, the first development phase is now completed. G.O.LOC services will allow a rapid search by address, municipality, highway distance indicators, toponymy, GPS coordinates, company name and Hydro-Québec sites. As a matter of fact, 911 call center dispatchers now have access to geolocation tools connected to a uniform geobase integrating several levels of high-quality spatial information provided by various ministries, municipalities as well a public organizations and companies. For further information, click on the following G.O. LOC link at the Ministry Web site or visit the new Blog by the MSP GIS team.

« One of our objectives was to automate the transfer of search results to the dispatching system, otherwise first-line users would have to re-enter manually the information. Besides increasing the time needed to complete the task, it would considerably increase the risk of mistakes. We process approximately 800 calls per day and we provide emergency police and fire assistance to a large territory including the cities of Bois-des-Fillion and Sainte-Anne-des-Plaines... This, for us, was essential, because a few minutes can make a great difference in an emergency situation." - Guy Ménard, Director of Public Security, City of Terrebonne.

This project was completed within only a month, which demonstrates the excellent collaboration between the city's various services involved in the process and the Ministry of Public Security, along with K2 Geospatial, editor of JMap and acting as integrator in this project.

To conclude, it must be noted that the project was facilitated by the interoperability of existing systems and with the industry standards developed by Open Geospatial Consortium (OGC).

<![CDATA[K2 Geospatial and Keeneo sign a partnership agreement]]>1102009-11-05T13:25:00-05:00Montréal, November 5th, 2009 - On October 24, K2 Geospatial (K2) and Keeneo signed a partnership agreement for the distribution and support of Keeneo's video analytics software products.

Keeneo provides Intelligent Video Surveillance (IVS) solutions that are adapted to customer security and operational logistic needs to help monitor and manage in real-time the video streams from video surveillance cameras. Based on a patented 4D technology, the analyzed data extracted from the video stream encompasses size, position, and behavior in the real 3D world with the relevance of time. In this way, Keeneo's 4D video analytics simulates intelligent and accurate human decisions derived from a visual input.

SafeZone is Keeneo's leading security offering featuring analytics for intrusion or incident detection and verification as well as perimeter protection applications. Metric Manager provides video analytics to improve the efficiency of business or facility operations such as people or vehicle counting, crowd density measurements and line management.

An initial partnership was signed in 2007 for the development of a JMap-VSI Keeneo connector capable of displaying, on an area map and/or a building plan, the exact location of alerts generated by the presence of people, objects or behaviours and consequently allowing an easier coordination and shorter intervention time. This partnership was the result of K2 and Keeneo's desire to provide high value added products.

"In order to offer our customers a very wide range of products, the logical progression to this partnership was the distribution of the KEENEO product line," commentated Jacques Charron, President, K2 Geospatial. Benoit Georis, CEO, Keeneo, added: "I am excited by this partnership with K2, a proven technology provider, who will broaden Keeneo's reach into North America and enable K2 to further provide geospatial and related security and operational logistics solutions to their customers."

Dick Salzman, VP Marketing for Keeneo observed: "This strategic partnership between K2 and Keeneo underscores the commitment by these companies to deliver to ports, airports, health, government and businesses entities, high quality, advanced technology solutions that provide optimal asset and security management processes."

In conclusion, Benoit Géoris and Jacques Charron would like to thank UBIFRANCE, the agency for international development, which helped facilitate this partnership.

KHEOPS also reasserts its commitment to interoperability by adding new OGC (Open Geospatial Consortium) connectors (WMS, GML, WFS) and industry-standard database formats (PostGIS, MySQL Spatial, Oracle locator...) to the solution.

Among functional improvements, we find:

 • A new graphic interface with a modern look that offers: more flexibility with modular, dockable and retractable components; enhanced label positioning that follow curves, a lens tool to magnify the section below the cursor without zooming; synchronized views and synchronised cursors for easier comparisons; display of tabular data...

 • A mouse-over with HTML enabled content to add intelligent web pages, images, videos, data capture forms... Creation and editing of personal layers that can be shared or saved in relational tables on the server.

 • An alert and message manager allowing simultaneous and different actions depending on the type of message (notifications of contexts reception, messages from the administrator, security alarms, etc.) .

 • A mobile "out of the box" client interface for the Blackberry.

 • A completely redesigned administration interface to improve ease-of-use and user experience.
The official launching of JMap 4.0 will take at the 5th JMap User Conference that will be held on October 20, 2009, in the tower of Montreal's Olympic stadium. Users conference, a highly-awaited event which will be held in Montreal, at the Olympic Stadium Tower.

Since the firm's creation in 1995, KHEOPS Technologies is well known for the implementation of interactive geopublishing solutions. JMap, its flagship product, operates on Web based technology, thus allowing organisations to easily distribute their georeferenced applications and data intelligence throughout corporate, public and mobile networks. JMap reads industry standards without conversion and can be extended via a program development tool in Java.

<![CDATA[KHEOPS technologies becomes K2 Geospatial]]>1012009-10-20T13:19:50-04:00 KHEOPS becomes K2 Geospatial

The Montreal-based company changes its name

Montreal,October 20, 2009. KHEOPS technologies, a canadian firm, editor of JMap software a geospatial on line solution, has changed its name and will now beknown as K2 Geospatial.

Thegrowth and development of international markets required a more evocative andpersonnalized name to reflect the company's sector of activity. "This change ofname became necessary, because several kheops, keops or cheops already existed, both here and elsewhere, and this caused confusion. Also, the copyright ofkheops did not belong to us and the word "technologies" did not define clearlyenough our activities" said Jacques Charron, President of K2 Geospatial."Moreover, after 15 years of activity, our company has greatly changed. From aconsulting firm working mainly in Quebec, we have become a software editor, increasingly active in international markets.

This change of name became necessary but managementwanted to maintain a connection with the old name. Thus, the K evokes KHEOPS,the number 2 refers to the company's second generation (and coincides with Web2.0!) and Geospatial speaks for itself; Finally, K2, like the well-known Karakorum mountain, refers tomovement, youth, inspiration of wide territories, solidity of rock and a goalto reach.

Finally, the new name means a new graphic signature, anew Website (and a Blog) as well as an update of our marketing strategies. However, although we will be known as K2 GEOSPATIAL, there will be no impact onthe administrative, corporate and legal standing of the company.

On this occasion, we will also be launching JMap Version4.0, our flagship product.

<![CDATA[The City of Drummondville becomes the 100th Quebec municipality to choose JMap ]]>182009-04-27T12:01:00-04:00 Montreal, 27 April 2009 -- Montreal, April 27th, 2009. KHEOPS technologies is pleased to announce that, on April 7th 2009, the City of Drummondville has selected JMap, its online web-gis system. JMap is an important part of a new municipal management software implementation in Drummondville. The contract was granted to PG Govern, the leader in Quebec municipal software solutions and distributor of JMap. According to an officialstatement issued by the City of Drummondville, this new software will increase the effectiveness of the data processing department thus will improve the quality of services offered to the population such as better on-line access to the valuation roll, payment of taxes, permits, etc. 'This is an important milestone in the history of KHEOPS and provesthat JMap is well adapted to any size of organization. JMap is present in all areas of Quebec, in municipalities ranging from 800 to over 1,6million in population, in different type of local government such as towns, cities and regional organizations (MRC) and in different technology environment, which proves its versatility, and sturdiness' -Jacques Charron, President and managing director of KHEOPS technologies. Apart from the municipalities, several MRC use JMap for their publication needs of regional information to the municipalities and to the mass market. JMap is also used by Ministries and government organizations, utility companies and ports and airports in Canada and abroad. Among our clients, let us note Infrastructure Canada, the Ministry of Transport Quebec, Rogers Wireless communication, the Port of Montreal, Nice and Toulouse airports, etc.
