A breakthrough in the field of WEB-GIS KHEOPS technologies
presents JMap 4.0
Montreal, September 30th 2009 - The Montreal-based company KHEOPS technologies presented today
the fourth generation of JMap -
its flagship product solution to improve communication and operations by
creating a georeferenced HUB with secured access to the organisation's data
intelligence and business applications.
JMap 4.0 provides significant changes on many levels. Enhanced collaboration
and editing tools offer all the required flexibility for communication and decision-making.
Everyone who had a sneak-preview agrees - this fourth generation of JMap will bring many
new benefits to users and partners alike such as improved assets management and
overall security.
With this new
generation of product, KHEOPS is
proud to confirm its membership and contribution to the Open Source community by
including a JMap AJAX
client based on Open Layers technologies. KHEOPS also reasserts its commitment to interoperability by adding new OGC (Open
Geospatial Consortium) connectors (WMS, GML, WFS) and industry-standard database
formats (PostGIS, MySQL Spatial, Oracle locator...) to the solution.
Among functional improvements, we find:
A new graphic interface with a modern look that
offers: more flexibility with modular, dockable and retractable components; enhanced label positioning that follow curves,
a lens tool to magnify the section below the cursor without zooming;
synchronized views and synchronised cursors for easier comparisons; display of
tabular data...
A mouse-over with HTML enabled content to add
intelligent web pages, images, videos, data capture forms... Creation and editing
of personal layers that can be shared or saved in relational tables on the
server.
An alert and message manager allowing simultaneous and
different actions depending on the type of message (notifications of contexts
reception, messages from the administrator, security alarms, etc.) .
A mobile "out of the box" client interface for the
Blackberry.
A completely redesigned administration interface to
improve ease-of-use and user experience.
The official
launching of JMap 4.0 will take at the 5th JMap User Conference that
will be held on October 20, 2009, in the tower of Montreal's
Olympic stadium. Users conference, a
highly-awaited event which will be held in Montreal, at the Olympic Stadium
Tower.
Since the firm's
creation in 1995, KHEOPS Technologies is well known for the implementation of
interactive geopublishing solutions.
JMap, its flagship product, operates on Web based technology, thus
allowing organisations to easily distribute their georeferenced applications
and data intelligence throughout corporate, public and mobile networks. JMap reads industry standards without
conversion and can be extended via a program development tool in Java.
