K2 GEOSPATIAL APPOINTS RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT DIRECTOR AND COMMUNICATIONS AND MARKETING DIRECTOR

MONTREAL, May 3rd 2011 – K2 Geospatial, editor of JMAP, announces the promotion of Sylvain Beaumont, Director of Research and Development and Francine Lecompte Gittins asthe Director of Communication and Marketing.
Sylvain Beaumont, B.Sc.A was appointed Directorof Research and Development at K2 Geospatial. In his new role, Sylvain Beaumont will manage all activities of scientificresearch and experimental development (RS&DE) ofK2 Geospatial. Sylvain will also be responsible for managing the development of JMAP’s technology. Sylvain Beaumont, graduated incomputer science and software engineering from University of Quebec in Montreal, and he willreport directly to Jean Robert Desbiens-Haddad,Vice President Technology.
Francine Lecompte Gittins, MSBA, becomes Director of Communication and Marketing at K2 Geospatial where she was until now, Director of EuropeanOperations. Based in France,Francine Lecompte Gittins’ mission will be to capitalize on technological excellence and expertise of the company in order toaffirm the presence andvisibility of K2 Geospatial in Canadian, American, European and South American markets. Francine Lecompte Gittins holds a BA from McGill Universityand an MSBA from San Francisco State University.
